libboost-atomic-dev software package provides atomic data types, operations, and memory ordering constraints (default version), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libboost-atomic-dev
libboost-atomic-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libboost-atomic-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libboost-atomic-dev *
You will get with libboost-atomic-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
